Event Photography Malaysia

Editorial and research standards

You rely on our guides to plan a real event, so you want to know how the facts in them are checked.

Short answer

Our guides explain how to plan and compare event photography. Facts about law, venues, places and customs come from named official sources, with the date we checked them. Guides are kept separate from claims about our own service, and corrections are accepted from anyone.

What are our guides for?

Our guides help you plan and compare event photography before you speak to anyone. They explain the decisions, the trade-offs and the questions to ask. They do not replace the written quotation for your event. For a starting point, see our event photography planning guide.

How are facts checked?

Statements about law, authorities, venues, places, transport, weather and ceremonies are checked against official or primary sources, such as government bodies, venue operators and tourism boards. Each source is listed on the page with the month we checked it.

When we cannot verify something, we say so. We then write it as a question for you to confirm with the venue or authority. We do not present one family's or community's custom as the same for everyone.

What do we not publish?

We do not publish invented prices, packages, testimonials, client names or claims about our work that we cannot back up. Example scenarios are labelled as hypothetical. They are never presented as a past client job.

Details about our own service that are still being confirmed, such as rates and terms, are stated openly as confirmed in your written quotation. See pricing and scope for how that works.

How are guides kept up to date?

We review guides when a source changes, when a reader reports a problem, and when we update the related pages. The date on each page shows its last update. Editorial responsibility sits with the business, and confirmed contributors are named on the contributors page.

How are corrections handled?

Anyone can report an error. Send the page, what looks wrong and, if you can, a source. We review it, correct the page when it is confirmed, and update the date. Use the correction page to send a report.

For how our team plans and confirms your own event, see how booking works.

Checklist

  • Check the sources listed at the bottom of the page.
  • Confirm venue and authority rules directly for your date.
  • Treat example scenarios as illustrations, not past jobs.
  • Report anything that looks wrong or out of date.

If you spot something in a guide that looks wrong or out of date, send it to us with the page and a source, and we will review it.

Common questions

Do your guides promise what your team offers?

No. Guides explain how to plan and compare photography in general. What our team offers for your event, including rates, terms and delivery, is set out in your written quotation. Where a guide mentions a service feature, it tells you to ask us whether it can be included.

How do I know a fact in a guide is current?

Pages that state facts about authorities, venues or rules list their sources at the bottom with the month we checked them. Rules and venue arrangements change, so confirm with the venue or authority before you rely on them for your date.

Do your guides give legal advice?

No. They explain common questions and point to official sources. For a contract or a dispute, take advice from a qualified professional.

Who is responsible for the guides?

The business is responsible for what it publishes. Named contributors and reviewers are listed on our contributors page once they are confirmed.

Report an error in a guide

If you spot something in a guide that looks wrong or out of date, send it to us with the page and a source, and we will review it.

What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
