We quote each event from its brief instead of publishing a fixed price list. The price follows the coverage hours, number of photographers, travel, deliverables and delivery speed. Every quotation lists the scope and total in writing, so you can compare it with other offers line by line.
How do we price event photography?
We price from your brief. After you tell us about the event, we propose the coverage, confirm what is included, and send a written quotation with the total. Rates and terms are stated in that quotation, and we do not publish a fixed rate card on this website.
The aim is that you can read one document and know what you are buying. Our guide to event photography prices and quotation planning explains the same logic from the client's side.
What changes the price?
These are the main drivers. None of them is hidden in the total, because each is named in the scope.
| Driver | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Coverage hours | Includes waiting and travel between venues, not only the main programme |
| Number of photographers | Two rooms or two moments at once need two people |
| Travel and access | Distance, overnight stays, parking and venue entry |
| Deliverables | Number of edited photos, formats, extras such as albums |
| Delivery speed | A faster turnaround changes how the work is planned |
| Image use | Personal use differs from advertising or press use |
Equal hours can still produce different totals. Why equal coverage hours can produce different quotes walks through an example.
What does a written quotation list?
A good quotation lets you check the scope without guessing. Ours states the event date and venue, the coverage window, the crew, the deliverables, the delivery arrangement, travel assumptions and the total. Our guide to what an event-photography quotation should include gives you a checklist to hold any offer against.
Booking terms, deposit, cancellation and delivery timeline are confirmed in your own quotation and booking confirmation. We do not rely on a general page for those. If anything is unclear, ask us before you accept.
What is usually outside the scope?
Anything not written in the quotation is outside it. Common examples are extra hours on the day, additional edited photos, prints and albums, and coverage of a second venue. Ask whether each can be added and how it would be priced. Adding it later is a written change, not a verbal one.
Whether a specific extra, such as video or a second photographer, can be included depends on your date. We confirm it in writing when we confirm availability.
How to get a clear quotation
- Write down the date, venue and programme with times.
- Mark the moments you must have, and the ones that are optional.
- Say how you will use the photos and by when you need them.
- Tell us your budget range if you have one, so we can suggest what fits.
The event photography brief builder helps you gather these details. If your budget is limited, prioritising photography on a limited budget shows what to protect first. When you hold two offers, the quotation comparison tool lines them up.

Send us your date, venue, programme times and the photos you need most, and we will prepare a written quotation that shows exactly what is covered.
Request a written quotationCommon questions
Why do you not publish a price list?
Two events with the same number of hours can need very different work. A venue in another state, a second photographer or a one-day turnaround each change the plan. A quotation built from your brief shows what you are paying for, instead of a package that may not fit.
What should I send to get an accurate quotation?
Send the event date, venue name, programme with start and finish times, and the moments that matter most. Add the number of guests, how you will use the photos and any date you need them by. The more exact the brief, the fewer assumptions the quotation has to make.
Can the scope change after I receive the quotation?
Yes. Tell us what you want to add or remove and we will revise the quotation in writing. Changes are agreed before the event, so the final scope is the one both sides have confirmed.
How do I compare our quotation with another one?
Put both scopes side by side: hours, photographers, travel, edited photos, delivery date and image use. Two totals only compare fairly when these match. Our quotation comparison tool and guide show how to line them up.
Request a written quotation
Send us your date, venue, programme times and the photos you need most, and we will prepare a written quotation that shows exactly what is covered.
What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
