Fill in what you know: the event, date, venue, key people and moments, timing, the outputs you want, access arrangements and style preferences. Anything unknown can stay blank. The builder turns your answers into a brief you can edit, copy, print or send as a short summary.
What this builder produces
It gathers the facts a photography team needs into one page: what the event is, when and where it happens, who matters, which moments must be covered, how long coverage should run, what you want delivered and how the team gets in. You can copy it, print it or turn it into a short chat message.
Unknowns are allowed. If you are still choosing a venue, say so. The brief then shows a clear "to confirm" list instead of guessed details.
How to use it
- Describe the event in a line or two and add the date if you have it.
- Enter the venue, or mark it as undecided. Add parking or entry notes if you know them.
- List the people and moments that matter. Our priority photograph list builder helps if you have many.
- Add timing blocks, or work them out first with the coverage hours planner.
- Choose the outputs you want and any style preferences.
- Select which sections to share, then copy, print or send.
If the terminology is unfamiliar, read our guide to starting an enquiry when you do not know the terms.
Reading the result
The brief opens with a short summary, followed by the sections you completed and a list of open questions. Treat the open questions as your next to-do list. The venue photography checklist covers the questions to put to your venue.
Once details are final, our guide to recording the final brief before event day shows how to settle it in writing with the team.
Assumptions and limits
The builder does not check dates against anyone's availability and does not give a price. It organises what you tell it. Private notes stay out of the shared version unless you select them. Your answers stay in your browser unless you choose to save them on this device. To make an enquiry, use the request photography page or the button below.
When the brief reads well, send the parts you choose to us on WhatsApp. We will reply with what is missing and what we need to confirm before we can quote.
Send our brief for a quotationCommon questions
Can I use it before I know the date or venue?
Yes. Mark them as not yet decided. A brief with honest gaps is more useful than one with guesses, and we can list what to confirm once those details are fixed.
Will private notes be sent automatically?
No. Nothing is sent unless you press send, and you choose which sections to include. Notes marked private stay in your own copy.
How detailed should the brief be?
Enough that a stranger could picture your event. Focus on people, moments, timing and outputs. Long lists of everything you might want are less helpful than a short list of what matters.
Can I update the brief later?
Yes. Reopen it on the same device, change any section and copy it again. Our guide on recording the final brief explains how to settle it before the event.
Send our brief for a quotation
When the brief reads well, send the parts you choose to us on WhatsApp. We will reply with what is missing and what we need to confirm before we can quote.
What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
