School, sports and community events involve groups, children, institutional approvals and sometimes moving action. Before we plan coverage, we ask who is authorised to commission it, what the photographs are for and what consent applies. Choose your event type below, then tell us who approves.
Who commissions these events
Schools, colleges, sports clubs, associations, councils and volunteer groups all commission photography, but not everyone can authorise it. A teacher may organise an event while the principal or committee approves spending and consent. We ask early who signs off so approval does not become the late surprise.
Education events
School and early-learning events involve young children, routines and consent. Graduation and convocation involve queues, ceremony timing and family groups. The school event worksheet helps list performances, classes and areas that need care.
Sports and competitions
Endurance events, team and court sports and specialist competitions differ in distance, light and movement. Position and access are decided with the organiser. The sports zone planner lists where photographers can stand and what is off limits.
Community programmes
Community and volunteer events and fundraising events often combine speakers, activities and crowds. Share the purpose of the photographs, such as reporting to supporters, since that changes what we record.
Responsible enquiry and consent
Photographs of children and community members need a clear consent route. Our privacy and permission guide explains the questions to settle, and the photo sharing plan helps record the answers.
How we quote
We confirm the date, venue, crew and deliverables in writing after reading your brief. Rates and terms are stated in the quotation, not guessed here.
Tell us who is commissioning, who approves the photographs and what consent applies, and we will propose coverage that fits the event and your responsibilities.

Common questions
Who is allowed to commission photography for a school?
That depends on the institution. Usually a principal, administrator or committee approves. Tell us who is authorised, and confirm any approval requirements before the booking.
How do you handle children's photographs?
Share the institution's consent arrangements and any children who must not be photographed. We plan positions and shot lists around them, and agree how galleries are shared.
Can you photograph fast sports action?
It depends on the sport, venue and light. Describe the event and its zones, and we will say what coverage is realistic. Our sports zone planner helps.
Do community events need permission?
Public venues and some programmes have photography rules. The organiser should check with the venue or authority and tell us what applies.
Can parents buy photographs afterwards?
Whether that is offered is a decision for the institution and the quotation. Ask in your enquiry, and the arrangement will be stated in writing.
Request event coverage
Tell us who is commissioning, who approves the photographs and what consent applies, and we will propose coverage that fits the event and your responsibilities.
What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
