Enter what each quotation actually says: price, hours, number of photographers, editing, delivery date, image-use rights, travel and terms. The tool lines them up side by side, adds only the costs that are stated and marks everything else as unknown. It does not rank the senders.
What this tool does
It puts quotations in one table so that differences are easy to see. Each column is a quotation. Each row is an item that affects the real scope: hours, number of photographers, editing, delivery date, image-use permissions, travel and key terms.
It adds up only the costs that are written down. Where a quotation is silent, the tool shows "unknown" and keeps it out of the total. That keeps an incomplete quotation from looking cheaper than it is.
How to use it
- Name each quotation in a way you will recognise.
- Enter the amounts and terms exactly as written, in the currency stated.
- Leave a field blank if the quotation does not say. Do not guess.
- Add rows for anything unusual.
- Press the button and read the table, the known totals and the list of unknowns.
Reading the result
Start with the unknowns list. For each one, ask the sender to confirm it in writing. Our guide on what a quotation should include gives you the checklist.
Next, look at rows where scopes differ. Equal hours can still give different prices, as we explain in why equal coverage hours produce different quotes. Image-use permissions often differ too, so see how to compare quotations with different image-use permissions. A single all-in figure needs a different reading from an itemised one, covered in all-inclusive versus itemised quotations.
What to do next
Once you know the gaps, you can adjust the scope with the budget scenarios tool or send your own brief from the brief builder. Our pricing and scope page explains how we state scope.
Assumptions and limits
The tool compares what you type. It does not check whether a figure is reasonable, apply tax for you or rank anyone. Currency conversion is outside its scope. You do not need to upload documents. Your answers stay in your browser unless you choose to save them on this device.
If you want us to quote on the same basis as the others, send us the scope you are comparing against. We will reply with a written quotation that states each item.
Quote this scope like for likeCommon questions
What happens when a quotation leaves something out?
The cell shows as unknown, not as zero or included. A missing item is a question to ask, not a saving. The summary lists every unknown so you can request clarification.
Does the tool tell me which quotation to choose?
No. It shows where scopes match and where they differ. The choice also depends on style, communication and trust, which a table cannot judge.
Do I need to upload the documents?
No. You type in the figures and terms you want to compare. There is no need to upload a quotation, an invoice or any document with personal details.
Can I add my own rows?
Yes. If a quotation mentions something unusual, such as parking or meals, add a row and fill it in for each quotation.

What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
