How we share our event photography work

You want proof that we can handle an event like yours before you commit, and a few polished frames do not show that.

Short answer

We share complete examples that match your kind of event during an enquiry, with permission, instead of a generic highlight reel. This page explains how that works and what to look for, so you can judge whether our coverage suits your event. Ask for examples in your first message.

How example sharing works

Instead of a public portfolio, we send examples during your enquiry. You tell us the type of event, the venue and the style you prefer. We choose examples close to that brief, give the context for each, and tell you where an example differs from your event.

Examples are shared only where we have permission to show them. For each, ask about the event brief, the conditions, the photographer and what was delivered.

What to look for in a set

Our guide on how to judge a complete event gallery goes through this in detail. The short version:

  • Are the key moments all present, such as arrivals, the main moment and the groups?
  • Is exposure and colour consistent across venues and light?
  • Do faces look natural, including those not posing?
  • Does the set tell the story of the event, not only its best frames?

Matching examples to your venue

A bright outdoor event and a dim ballroom ask different things of a photographer. See assessing a portfolio for your venue and lighting for how to compare. The photographer work review worksheet helps you score examples consistently.

Who made the photographs

Ask who photographed each example, and whether that person would attend your event. Our guidance on checking who made the portfolio photographs explains why this matters. We confirm the crew assigned to your event in writing, and the who photographs your event page explains the process.

Style and preferences

If you are not sure what style you want, the style preference brief and our styles page help you put it into words.

What to ask us

Ask about the event brief for each example, delivery format, and any restrictions. Rates and terms are confirmed in your own written quotation.

Tell us your event type, venue conditions and the style you prefer, and we will share relevant examples with the context for each.

Common questions

Why is there no gallery on this page?

Images from clients can only be shown with permission, and we prefer to choose examples that match your event. We share them during an enquiry instead of publishing a general selection.

Can I see a full event, not just highlights?

Ask for a complete or near-complete set from a similar event, where permission allows. A full set shows consistency, which highlights hide.

Will the examples show who photographed them?

Ask who made each example, and whether they would attend your event. Our page on who photographs your event explains how we confirm crew in writing.

Can I contact past clients?

We do not make claims about past clients here. Ask what references are available when you enquire.

What if my event type is unusual?

Tell us, and we will explain honestly how closely any examples match and where they do not.

Ask for relevant examples

Tell us your event type, venue conditions and the style you prefer, and we will share relevant examples with the context for each.

What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
