Event photography in Seri Manjung / Sitiawan

Your event touches two neighbouring towns, perhaps an office, a family home and a reception hall, and each stop needs a clear plan.

Short answer

Treat Seri Manjung and Sitiawan as one itinerary only when your event really uses both. List every venue with its address, time and purpose, then decide which stops need the crew present and which can be covered in a short visit. We confirm the schedule, travel and crew in writing.

Seri Manjung and Sitiawan are towns in Manjung District in southwest Perak. Sources describe Seri Manjung as the district's principal urban centre, with Sitiawan, Lumut and others around it. Many enquiries name both towns because the guests, the family and the workplace are spread across them. This page helps you decide whether your event is one itinerary or two separate jobs. For the wider state, see our Perak overview.

Are you booking one event or a chain of stops?

Start by writing down what actually happens in each town. A typical chain might be a company briefing in one place, a family lunch in another and an evening reception somewhere else. Each stop has its own purpose, its own people and its own rules.

If every stop belongs to the same occasion and follows in order, a single crew can often move through them. If two stops run at once, the plan changes. Our concurrent activity and crew planner helps you see where overlaps fall.

What should the itinerary table show?

Fill in one row per venue. The table below is what we ask for in an enquiry.

The last column matters. A workplace, a hall and a private home can each have different expectations about where a photographer may stand and which areas are private. Ask each venue directly. Do not assume the rules at one stop apply at the next.

Do workplace, family and reception parts need different handling?

Often they do, even on the same day. A workplace part may need a staff member to admit the crew and may limit what can be photographed. A family part is about people and relationships, so the host's wishes lead. A reception is usually about atmosphere and a set of key moments.

Write one line per stop about what the pictures are for. Our venue photography checklist covers the questions to ask each place, and our guide to permission to photograph and publish explains why those two decisions are separate.

How do we move between towns?

Seri Manjung and Sitiawan are linked by the district's roads. Sources list Federal Routes 5 and 60, the Ipoh to Lumut Highway and the West Coast Expressway as ways into the district. We do not state journey times, because they depend on the hour, the weather and the exact addresses. Give us your own estimate from the people who live there, and add a margin.

If you are coming from Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur or the north, tell us where the crew will be starting from. Travel and any overnight stay are confirmed in your written quotation. Our guide to confirming the exact venue before requesting a quote explains why addresses matter so much.

An example itinerary

For example, imagine an organiser with a staff appreciation lunch at 12pm at one venue and a family reception at 7pm at another, in the neighbouring town. The organiser lists both addresses, names a colleague and a cousin as contacts and asks for coverage in two blocks.

Because there is a long gap between the two, the quotation can describe two separate sessions rather than one continuous day. The gap is noted in writing, along with what happens if the lunch runs long. This is an illustration only, not a past job.

Why one page for two towns?

We have not found enough evidence that these two towns raise different planning questions for most hosts, so one itinerary guide serves both. If your event is only in one town, the same steps apply: address, purpose, contact, time. If it also includes Lumut or an island stop, see our Lumut page and Pangkor page.

What do we need from you?

Send every address, the purpose and time of each stop, the contact at each place, and which stop has priority if the day overruns. We then check feasibility and confirm date, crew, travel and deliverables in writing.

Checklist

  • Write the full address of every venue, not only the town.
  • Put a start and end time against each stop.
  • State the purpose of each stop: work, family, reception or something else.
  • Name a host contact at each venue.
  • Ask each venue about photography rules and entry arrangements.
  • Mark which stop wins if two overlap.
  • Allow realistic driving time between stops.

Send us each venue address, the time at each stop and who will meet the photographer there, and we will check whether one crew can cover the whole itinerary.

Plan our two-town coverage

Common questions

Should we book separate photographers for each town?

Only if two stops run at the same time and both matter. If they follow one another, one crew can usually move between them. Send both timings and we will tell you in writing whether one crew is realistic or whether a second photographer is worth discussing.

Are Seri Manjung and Sitiawan the same place?

No. Both are in Manjung District, and we treat them as separate towns. Your address decides which town applies, so give the full address of each venue rather than only the town name.

Do workplace and family parts of the day need different permissions?

Often they do. A workplace may need a staff contact to admit the photographer, while a family home needs the host's agreement. Name one person for each stop who can open doors and answer questions.

What if one stop runs late?

Agree beforehand which stop has priority and who tells the photographer. A late start at the first venue then does not silently remove coverage at the second one.

Plan our two-town coverage

Send us each venue address, the time at each stop and who will meet the photographer there, and we will check whether one crew can cover the whole itinerary.

What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
