Add each photographer or team you are considering, then record your own observations on their work, the answers they gave and the questions still open. The organiser compares them against the criteria you set and shows where evidence is missing. It holds your notes only. It does not rate or rank anyone.
What this organiser does
It keeps your shortlist in one place. Each photographer or team is a column. Each criterion is a row. You fill in what you have actually seen or been told, and the organiser shows the pattern: where the evidence is strong, where it is thin and what is still unanswered.
The criteria are yours. The organiser does not add scores or weights of its own, and it never ranks the people on your list.
How to use it
- Add each name you are considering.
- Set your criteria, such as relevant work, group photographs, communication, delivery plan and written scope.
- For each cell, record what you saw or were told, with a short note on where it came from.
- Add open questions for each person.
- Press the button and review the comparison and the list of gaps.
Reading the result
Look first at the gaps. A gap is a question to ask, not a mark against anyone. Our guide on comparing written responses from shortlisted photographers helps you ask for the same information from each.
When judging work, match it to your own situation. Our guide to assessing a portfolio for your venue and lighting explains what to check, and the overview of how to choose an event photographer sets out the wider approach.
What to do next
Before you ask several photographers for proposals, agree what you want them to quote on. Our guide on what to decide before asking for proposals lists the points. Then use the photography brief builder so each receives the same brief, and line up the replies with the quotation comparison tool.
Assumptions and limits
The organiser works only from the notes you enter. It does not collect information from any website or portfolio, and it does not produce a ranking. It cannot tell you who is best. That depends on your event and on how you feel about the people you meet. Your answers stay in your browser unless you choose to save them on this device.
If you would like a proposal from us on the same basis as the others, send us your criteria and brief. We will reply in writing with what our coverage includes.
Request a proposal on our briefCommon questions
Does the tool rate photographers?
No. It does not scrape portfolios, invent ratings or publish a ranking. Everything in it is what you type, judged against the criteria you set.
What criteria should I use?
Start with what matters for your event, such as experience with your kind of venue, group photographs, communication and delivery. Our guide on choosing a photographer suggests more.
What does missing evidence mean?
A cell with no note is shown as missing. For example, if you have seen no group photographs from a photographer, that gap is highlighted so you can ask for them.
Can I share the shortlist?
You can copy or print it for others in your decision team. Your notes stay in your browser unless you choose to save or share them.
Request a proposal on our brief
If you would like a proposal from us on the same basis as the others, send us your criteria and brief. We will reply in writing with what our coverage includes.
What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
