Start from the itinerary, not the town. List each venue address, each group and each moment that happens at the same time, then ask for coverage of exactly that schedule. A Kangar base does not mean every Perlis venue needs the same plan, so we confirm travel and crew for your final addresses in writing.
Kangar is the state capital of Perlis and its largest town, with a municipal council that also covers Arau and Kaki Bukit, according to Wikipedia. Organisers often use it as a base for events that spread across the state: a conference with a dinner elsewhere, a community programme with several stations, or a family occasion in more than one household. This page is for that situation. For the wider picture, see our Perlis overview.
Which venues does your brief include?
Begin with a list of every place the event uses, written as a full address. Include the town and the state. The same road names appear in other states, and a short address can be read in the wrong way.
Distances inside Perlis are short. Wikipedia places Arau about 14 km from Kangar and Kuala Perlis about 13 km from it. Short does not mean free of planning: the time that matters is the gap between your two moments, and whether the crew can move, set up and be ready in that gap.
Does the event need protocol, family groups or concurrent coverage?
These are the three things that most often make a Kangar brief bigger than it looks.
| Need | What it means | What we ask you for |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol photographs | Formal images of officials or guests of honour in a set order | An approved list and a person who confirms names |
| Family or committee groups | Named groups photographed together | The groups in priority order, with who calls them |
| Concurrent activity | Two things happening at once in different places | The times of each, and which one matters most |
Our group photograph planner turns a long list of groups into a timed sequence. The concurrent coverage planner shows whether you need a second crew for overlapping activities.
An example scenario
Imagine a hypothetical association event with a morning forum at a hall, a lunch at another address, and an afternoon community walk. The host wants officials photographed at the forum, a group photograph of the committee at lunch, and candid pictures of the walk.
One photographer can cover the forum and lunch if the officials list is ready and the group photograph is scheduled at a fixed time. The walk may overlap with the end of lunch. In that case, the quotation should say whether a second photographer covers the walk, or whether the walk starts later. We set this out before you confirm, so you know what each choice gives you.
What do we need before quoting?
A full itinerary helps more than a package choice. Please send:
- All venue addresses and the order in which they are used.
- The purpose of the event and who attends.
- Overlapping moments, if any.
- The groups and people who must be photographed, in priority order.
- Photograph delivery deadlines, if you need images for a report.
If the host has already approved a shot priority list, send that too. Our priority photograph list builder helps you create one.
How do I compare quotations for the same Kangar event?
Ask every supplier to quote the same schedule, the same addresses and the same deliverables. Then compare the quotations line by line. Our quotation comparison tool does this, and our guide explains why equal hours can produce different quotes.
Once the schedule is the same, the remaining differences are usually travel, crew size and delivery. Ask each supplier to itemise them. Do not assume that a small state means a universal arrangement. Check what each supplier actually confirms for your venues.
Who attends from our side?
We confirm in writing the crew assigned to your event when we confirm the booking. Our team accepts enquiries for Perlis. Travel is stated in the quotation for your date and addresses. Our run sheet guide explains how a good schedule protects the photographs you care about most.
What if the plan changes on the day?
Programmes run late, and venues change. Agree beforehand who tells the photographer, and what the plan is if a moment moves. Our guide on programmes that change or overrun sets out the options. When you are ready, request photography and include your itinerary.

Plan coverage for our Kangar eventCommon questions
Does one photographer cover two venues in the same day?
Often, if the travel gap and the schedule allow it. If two moments overlap, one photographer cannot be in both. We look at your itinerary and tell you in the quotation where a second photographer is needed and where a single crew can move between places.
What are protocol photographs?
Protocol photographs are formal images of guests of honour, officials or invited dignitaries, usually in a set order. The host or organiser decides who appears and in what sequence. Share the approved list with us, and tell us who confirms names on the day.
Why do two quotations for Kangar differ so much?
Usually because they describe different coverage. One may assume one venue, another two. One may include more edited photographs or faster delivery. Ask each supplier to quote the same schedule, venues and deliverables, then compare the line items.
Can the quotation list travel separately?
You can ask for it. An itemised quotation shows coverage, travel and deliverables as separate lines, so you can see what changes if a venue moves. Ask what is included and what is charged on top.
How soon do I get the photographs for a report?
The delivery timeline is written in your quotation. If you need images by a certain deadline for a report or news release, tell us in the first message so that we can plan the editing around it.

Plan coverage for our Kangar event
Send us all your venue addresses, the full itinerary and the groups that must appear, and we will show you how we would cover them and what changes between venues.
What happens next: You send your event details on WhatsApp. Our team reads the brief, asks what is missing, then confirms in writing whether the date, venue and coverage can be booked, with a quotation. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything, and a message is not a booking until both sides confirm.
